Summary: “Love Like a Diamond” portrays love and growth, likening the personal transformation to a diamond formed under pressure. This inspirational poem dwells upon kindness, selflessness, and the power of love and self-discovery, bringing out the notion that one is never alone and that supporting others is a pathway to see yourself in every aspect of life.
Chained to the past
On this promethean rock
I give you this satsang
I give you this talk
Carbon makes diamonds
Rough edges, they fray
Can the squeeze of my karma
Teach me a new way?
Distinguishing good from
The pleasant
Loving all, despite sneers
Abstaining temptation
Those empty promises cleared
To stretch, helping others
With love in your heart
To see your Self everywhere
As you take part
For you see, it is you
Law on this stone
And the freedom is being
That you’re never alone.
The samaritan that comes
In the anguish of might
Was you, all along,
Glowing with this inner light.
