Amrita Yoga for Children & Teens

"The wealth that parents really need to impart to their children is culture and proper values."

— Amma

Ages 4–17

Learning Through Fun, Nature & Awareness

Today's children face increasing pressure from academics and social media to peer expectations and screen time. At Amrita Yoga, we offer a sanctuary of joy, creativity, and calm. Our youth programs are rooted in Amma's teachings and designed to meet children at each stage of growth with compassion, playfulness, and purpose.

Program

Kids Yoga (Ages 4–7)

Movement. Breath. Joy.

Children learn best through play, imagination, and storytelling. Our Kids Yoga classes introduce asanas through songs, games, and nature-based activities. Each class encourages creativity, coordination, and connection with the environment all in a non-competitive, joyful space. Through animal-inspired poses and guided relaxation, children explore movement, breath, and stillness.

"When a child roars like a lion or stands like a tree, they embody the strength and peace of nature itself."

Our View

Yoga, Nature & the Child's Spirit

Yoga was developed by ancient yogis who lived in harmony with animals, plants, people — and the universe itself. Nature inspired their movements and meditations, reminding us of life's unity and sacredness.

When children roar like a lion or stand like a tree, they embody courage, stillness, and compassion. These nature-inspired movements awaken the body, engage the imagination, and nurture the values that guide a child's life.

Yoga invites us to give, connect, and grow, rooted in awareness and reaching toward the light.
